O'Dea Junior Varsity Irish got on the board in the top of the first inning after Glassburn walked, Lieu walked, Fischer hit a sacrifice fly, Rivera singled to center field, and Lev grounded out, each scoring one run.

Tahoma Junior Varsity Blue flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring six runs on one hit to take the lead, 6-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a ground out by Abadilla that drove in two.
