The Bears opened up league play against the Auburn Riverside Ravens in their first year moving up to 4A Classification. It was a hard-fought game between the two sides featuring outstanding pitching for both teams. For the Bears, Adam Jay drew the start and went 2.2 scoreless innings before giving way to Bryson Leach who threw 2.1 scoreless innings of his own. The Bears offense struggled to get going, but some aggressive baserunning helped decide the game.

The talented sophomore threw 3 scoreless innings, allowing just 1 hit, walking 3, and striking out 9. Grayson Perkins, Jackson McEwen, and Eli Grant finished things out, allowing just 2 runs.
